well, he was actually drafted last year, but never saw the field, so not sure if he qualifies, but my pick is Robert Meachem for the Saints.

DeSean Jackson. Had an excellent camp, and the Iggles starting wideouts are both injured ~ got every chance to make a name for himself.

I dont see Jackson lasting past week 6 as much as they will rely on him. Plus he is their only threat with Curtis and Brown at half speed so he will get doubled early on. I hope I am wrong, but if I am that means he will be an absolute beast.

My pick goes to Hardy. On the other side of Lee and with Lynch pounding the ball I think he will put up some nice numbers.

Lynch pounds the ball? I don't see Hardy being the guy because there's no way he's a top target on that team with Evans and Lynch around so no matter how well he does he'll still won't be a top option. I like Fraction Jackson or Devin Thomas to emerge as go to guy in their offenses and get some fantasy worth. My vote for late bloomer goes to Sweed, he could be a force by season's end.

Limas Sweed. Big Ben asked for a big reciever, and got him. Once Big Ben and the Steelers figure out how to use Sweed, he is going to be awsome

So let me get this straight....

Lynch and Evans count but....

Portis, Cooley, Randle El and Moss dont

and

Parker/Mendenhall, Evans, Ward, and Holmes dont either.

Interesting logic you carry. I could agree on Sweed because Ben is the best QB of the bunch.

Sweed will start the year as a 4th wr behind santonio, hines and washington. but if he can move up the depth chart, he would be my pick for rookie of the year in the NFL. He was injured his last year at Texas that kept his numbers down overall. But he's Tall, athletic and physical and a perfect target for big ben.

I'm with Biz, Eddie Royal is my pick as well. Alot depends how effective Darrell Jackson is but Royal should be a WR2 on that squad by mid season. Close 2nd is James Hardy. What brings Hardy down is the QB.

Sweed is an intriguing pick but unfortunately he has Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes in front of him. Heath Miller will get lots of looks as well plus they have 2 good RBs in the backfield who will need the ball too. Way too many options in Pitt but Sweed should be a good threat in red zone. DeSean Jackson should make good contributions as well.

Wow. Could there posibly be a less interesting group of core offensive players than the Redskins have? Yes I do think my logic in that instance is fine. Portis is a workhorse, not a gamebreaker, and neither are any of those other guys you listed (Chris Cooley? WTF?) None of those receivers are steady producers or consistent threats which is why the Skins went out land drafted a bunch of potential in that area. I don't let the fact that Thomas has been quiet in the preseason bother me, he's still in a great position to step in and take the league by storm the way Bowe did in KC last season.

The Steelers have a lot of great players on offense but Sweed and Big Ben could hook up for a lot of scores when they get it going. He's perfectly suited to what Ben likes and that's chucking it in the end zone. That's why he can toss 30+ TD's and still not be anywhere near the league leaders in passing yards. Sweed is a big target who can reel in the jump balls and that's where his value is - Hardy is similar but there isn't enough love to go around on a shitty team with a subpar QB like Buffalo, so even though I could see a few big games from him I just have a hard time imagining him being a fantasy threat week in and week out.

Eddie Royal is just too average of a talent, regardless of who his QB is. He'd need to see far too many passes his way in order to be mentioned with these other guys and it just isn't going to happen.

Where I think people are overlooking the Bills is in the fact that they will have significant ketchup points. Down by two TDs, you have to throw the ball. There is no other receiving threat out there which means Evans is getting doubled and Hardy should get some nice touches.
