The UM opened August 17th, 2007 as a handpicked 100 members who were asked to join for their smarts and community involvement. But the word got out that the UM neighborhood is not just your average start up community! .... The site has it's very own Texas Holdem table which has members playing against each other 24/7! .. MLB Gameday audio only for the community. A live chat room, fantasy leagues with the winner landing up to 100 dollars in prizes. We also have our own FREE Baseball draft kit for our UM members, as well as an upcomming Football draft kit. We run our own monthly MILB prospect list. But most importantly .. The UM has grown into a community of sports friends. So jump in and, join the UM today! |

For many years I have looked around for a college fantasy sports league worth joining. I know some are out there ... but finding the right site to play on, as well as the right people to play in is difficult. Throughout the year, I have received the random PM here asking if running a college fantasy sports league was in the UM's plans ....
Well ... Finaly! The answer is yes! ...As Jeff Brown AKA the 'Ryno' whom many of us know as the pappa large of college fantasy sports has decided to bring his lust for vigor to the UM! ... as he is heading up the neighborhood's first set of college fantasy sports leagues!
For you college sports fans ... this is big news! .... and for many of you fantasy sports managers looking for a new challenge to keep those competitive juices flowing..this is even bigger news!
These leagues will be run by Ryno but sanctioned by the UM .. which includes providing any resources these leagues need, as well as the winners moving into the illustrious BOB (Billboard Of Bitches) area .... as the king of UM college fantasy sports!
Ryno will explain the details in the following post!

If you have not had the opportunity to enjoy playing College Fantasy Football, you are in for a treat.
College Fantasy Football is unlike any other league you have played. Unlike with the NFL, MLB, NBA or NHL, you are not battling your leaguemates for the same dozen superstars and the same small pool of role players for your fantasy team. With a minimum of 66 teams (the six BCS conferences, plus Notre Dame), you have what seems like an endless supply of talent from which to fill your team. It's up to YOU to unearth those diamonds before your leaguemates do.
And, as fun as the league is in-season, you will be surprised at how much it improves your enjoyment of the NFL Draft weekend and the NFL itself.
The site that we will be using is U-Sports. Go ahead and take a spin HERE to look at the preview to see all the options we have available.
Since there is no such thing as free college fantasy football, we do have to pay a little for the privilege of having the site do all the work for us. There is a special $11.99 per team fee if it is paid before July 31st. It will definitely be worth it.
The only draft options we have is auto-draft and message board draft. I won't do the first, so it will be a message board draft, and we will need to get started ASAP.
So this won't be too lengthy of a first post, I will make a follow-up post with the settings for the league. This will be where the list of owners will be posted.
Check out the preview, post that you would like to join us and start gathering your college football magazines!
If all goes as well as expected, we will have a college fantasy basketball league this year -- something I haven't tried before. So come on, guys -- join up!

I'm fairly new here, but would be interested in the College Football League if I'm allowed.
I currently play Challenge Games through Fanball.com (Football, Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, & Golf) in addition to local live draft leagues in both Baseball & Football. Been looking for a good College Football league though, tough to find them on legit sites due to the naming/players association issues.

Damn, there's always a catch -- might have to go start recycling those cans again, should be able to scrape together $12 by the end of the month.

Great! Eight was the absolute minimum I would have wanted for a league, so we got that.
I want this to be special, though -- we need at least two more (four would be awesome). Throw your hat in, guys!
