Sean Gallagher has top of the rotation potential. 3 great pitches and has great minor league numbers. Why no love?

I disagree that he has three great pitches. I would not grade any of his as more than above average. He doesn't get love because he's so inconsistent. At times he's great & others he can't find the plate. His curveball has regressed over his pro career & that is not a good indicator.

Sad but true Cubbie fans. It's one really ugly farm system.

I wont argue the Cubs dont have a great farm system now, but the do have quite a few guys on their roster right now that they developed. Which has not been the case in Chicago for as long as I can remember.

Theriot
Soto
Fontenot
Marshall
Galagher-BTW a 97MPH fastball is a Great pitch
Zambrano
Marmol
Wood
Wuetrz
Cedeno
Pie
Hill
Angel Guzman if he was healthy
and somewhat Fukudome. They took the $40M risk no one else would

They havent had a top system since the early 00's yet have more developed players right now then most teams in the MLB

Dont Fook with Chicago Bitches!!

I never fook with Chicago bitches.

Who are you crappin?

1. The Cubs haven't had a top farm system in my lifetime

2. You had to invoke the name of Kerry Wood (who just celebrated the 10th anniversary of his 20K game) to compile that meager list of players the Cubs developed?

Fontenot - Baltimore
Fukudome - get serious
Wuertz and Cedeno - have these guys done anything?
Gallagher, Marshall, and Pie - I know these guys haven't done anything.

There are 25 players on a MLB roster. You listed 14 guys from over the last 10 years and claim the Cubs develop more players than most teams.

Speaking as a Cubs fan, that list was a total buzz kill.

actually the list was showing players they developed that are on their own roster. at least 12 players whether they are stars or not is damn good. especially when the average salary for the majors is around 4M per year. Seriously find me a legit playoff team that has developed more of their own players then the Cubs. League wide there is not a lot of Cub developed players. I never made that claim.

Perhaps I more then you consider winning to be the most important thing of all. I will take a full team of solid players that wins over a team of superstars that put up numbers.

The bottom line is the Cubs are winning now and a big reason for it are players that came up from that system.

Don't Fook with Chicago, Bitches
