Right now, I really cant make an arguement against that. Talk to me in 5 years and it could be a comepletely different conversation

So, does this mean you can't get me a Clay autograph? Bummer. ico_cryz

When he gets called up to the Red Sox, I probably can.

Twins acquired Every Day Eddie (Guardado) from Rangers for a minor league pitcher, 21-year-old right-hander Mark Hamburger to the Rangers, who will assign him to their Class-A club in Clinton, Iowa...

Frank Francisco should get first shot.

According to Rotoworld, the Red Sox are close to acquiring Mark Kotsay.

That would be a solid move for the Red Sox since Coco Crisp sucks and JD Drew just got put on teh DL

Win No19 for Cliff Lee after beating Tigers tonight. He's won 8 out of his last 9 starts and is 19-2 on the season... He was roughed up last time he faced Tigers and picked up a no-decision.

Its pending physical. Cant see Kotsay helping you guys, Crisp is better. At least he's a threat on basepaths.

Every kid in the Little League World Series could hit better then Crisp. Ture, he is a threat on the basepaths, but how good of a threat can you be when you are almost an instant out?

EDIT: ESPN is reporting that it isnt a done deal, and that the Red Sox and Kotsay are still discussing his no-trade clause. I am sure that it will be worked out, but the deal isnt done yet.

Nelson Cruz is back up with the Rangers, and already mashing away like he did all year in AAA. Interesting to see if he can keep it up...

Finalized.

Quote:
[Disney's] Keith Law reported the player going back to Atlanta in exchange for Kotsay is 19-year-old outfielder Luis Sumoza, who is currently playing for Class A Lowell (Mass.).

Comeback? It was 3 games 2 weeks ago, and never got past 4.5. Its pretty much been in stasis since the all star break.

Don't try to portray the Sox and underdogs or the comeback kids or whatever. The fact is, the Sox are supposed to win the division. If they don't it'll be a disappointment. There is no comeback here, they are just trying to get back the spot that is supposed to be theirs anyway.

I won't be crying if the Sox take the division... perfectly satisfied with the wild card, although I'm sure all the Sox fans on here will be laughing and bragging profusely, belittling all the Yankee fans and I, but I'm a good sport.

Now, if they miss the playoffs altogether, that would be disappointing.

All that says to me is....

blah blah blah, the Rays are a bunch of choke artists, blah blah blah, Im just trying to justify them blowing a 4 game lead in September, blah blah blah, Im gonna pretend to be satisfyed with the Wild Card, when In reality it would be an embarassment if the Rays choked now

There is a month of the season left.

The Mets had a ridiculous lead with two weeks left in the season last year. That is embarassing, not 3.5 games.
