Players flop in hockey, players flop in basketball, players flop in soccer.
Now, baseball??? How the hell do you flop in baseball? Well AJ Pierzynski figured it out.
If you were watching the ChiSox-Rays game on TBS you probably saw what happened in the 10th inning. Pierzynski gets caught in a rundown between second and third. As he's running back and forth, Willie Aybar tosses it to 2nd and then steps out of the way. Pierzynski, already stepping on the infield grass, sticks his elbow out, leans to the left in order to make contact with Aybar, and flops his way stupidly onto his ass, to the dirt.
The umpires send him back to second base and call interference on Aybar.
Maddon comes out to argue, and the umps get together to discuss it.
Then the umps move Pierzynski TO THIRD with 1 out, meaning they have runners at the corners, instead of a runner on 1st with 2 out. Rays have to walk Thome and Ramirez gets the game winning hit.
I knew AJ was a dick but FLOPPING IN BASEBALL? What the fuck is that you piece of shit asshat. He has always been the most worthless asshole player in baseball, but this is a new level.

Oh, and for the record, I'm not mad at the umps or anything, although yes they obviously blew the call. Pierzynski's just a cocksucker for even trying this, and having it WORK and getting a win from it just makes me seethe.

Agreed. I had him pegged as everyone's favourite "Fair-Play Posterboy" (not) after he pulled a stunt in the playoffs a couple of years back.
