ICE ICE BABY
07/09/08

Thousands piled into the GM Centre in oshawa tonight to watch on the giant Sony screen in what they hope will be the first pick in this illustrious new CEO NFL franchise league! 12 midnight tonight begins the 'No Clock' drafting period which will go on until the 15th of July when the official draft time begins. But the possibility of no franchises picking tonight has not stopped the thousands of die hards who have been waiting years and years for a league like this!

Jim Hanson states: 'I began to lose faith after 20 years of shitty fantasy hockey leagues, but when I heard that the CEO was comming to Ontario, I knew that myself and my 7 year old son would be here tonight waiting to witness history'

That's just 1 of the many who eargerly await the 12am deadline in the start of what should be an amazing franchise league.

Tigers up first

Wests Tigers were fortunate enought to land the first pick overall in 2008 UM Draft. For some this may provide a challenge of choosing between 2 best young guns in the game in Sidney Crosby or Alex Ovechkin. Gm Darko said ' for us it wasn't that difficult of a decision. I mean to disrespect to Alex whose game I am a huge fan of. However passing on 21 year old superstar who had 102 points in his rookie campaign, followed it up with a great sophomore year and if it wasnt for the injury he would've easily surpassed 100 point plateu for the 3rd time in 3 season". Crosby is a leader and we are honoured to have him as a face of this proud franchise...

Goncharea coming up...

We are glad that Ovechkin has been overlooked by the Tigers, knowing that Ovechkin is an amazing leader and not a little diver like Sidney Crosby, if we had our choice between the two we would take Ovechkin over Crosby any day of the week. A hard hitting European is exactly what we need. Good luck to the rest of the teams.

OTB IS BETTING ON YOUTH
07/22/08

Theres no denying what the Timbits plan was for this years opening draft. To add a pluthora of Young Skilled players. As other then Martin Biron (30) and Nik Antropov (28) ... there isnt a player over the age of 25 years old on the OTB roster.

"We want to create a core group that not only competes this season but competes for many years" states general manager Bizplayboy.

And that was obvious as early as the 5th round, as they drafted rookie phenom Steven Stamkos as there first center on the team.

"We understand that there were players on the board that may dwarf Stevies 2008 numbers, but believe that Stamkos can put up similar numbers to what Kane and Toews achieved last season. Ultimatley we expect him to be a perenial all star and we didnt want to be short sided and miss out on a golden oppertunity to draft a monster player" states Biz.

If anything, you can bet that the OTB youth movement will be exciting to follow.

Moose Factorians Declares July 6 'Ehrhoff Day'!

MOOSE FACTORY, ONTARIO -- Christian Ehrhoff has blossomed into the best defensemen in the CEO league, returning to his 2006-2007 flashes of greatness.

Last season Ehrhoff was not asked to be an offensive contributor, instead relegated to simply being the best defensive defensemen in the league. Now, under head coach Quiksilver, Christian is being asked to take more shots. His considerable PP time has helped his numbers as well.

Just 9 games into the season he's already doubled his goal output from a year ago. He has matched his 5 PP points from last season as well.

This is why many probably slept on him in the inaugural CEO draft. Nabbed in the 18th round, he's currently sitting as the 10th ranked player in the fantasy league - a mere 215 slots above his projected ranking.

At 26 years of age, he's developed into the player that Quiksilver always knew he could be. <3

Current Stats (Team rank in parentheses): 8 points (t-2nd), +5 (1st), 10 PIM (t-3rd), 5 PPP (1st), 26 shots (2nd)
