Gentleman, the Great Debate is on!
Our first matchup is KobySchellenger Vrs TheGrandSalami in Mark McGwire is HOF worthy topic.
Gentleman, a matchup board is about to appear. Grandsalami you will go first. PBoth of you, please read up on the rules and premise of the GB. Good luck to the both of you!
Commets throughout the GB are welcome and can root on the debate ... as long as they dont discuss a critique or information which may change teh outcome of a debate. Another words, keep it high level!

Man, I thought there was a big discussion about Green Bay (GB), but then it turned out to be the Great Debate (GD)! _________________

This is an interesting matchup. Koby was undefeated in the old Great Debates ... But then again, there wasnt much competition back then. The Salami has proven to be a smart poster ... Should be a curious matchup!

fantastic start in the opening remarks by both Salami and Koby! Both made interesting points. Salami is right where McGwire was hitting teh HR even before he was jacked...but Koby is right where he was a skinny, white Cecil Fielder who didnt strike out as much and walked more. _________________

| This is a good read so far. It is still too close to call. Koby had a good start but Thegrandsalami made some good points in his last post. I will wait alittle longer until I decide.

This is a good point because Killebrew and McGwire had very similar careers. Both were feared power hitters who hit for a low average. |

| Koby, you are in your final rebuttal, since that is optional you can rebut what Salami just stated, or you can go right to your closing arguments.

Personally, I think each contender wasted their turns arguing minor points rather than formidably defending their position-
---------------
On a side note- it would be cool if that dude that runs the site decides to mop up all of the GB threads with the correct "GD" moniker-

Gentleman, both of these debators will be making there closing arguments ... I have not gone through my point system, but I will say this is alot closer then I thought it would be ... Both guys are making some fair points ... I'm looking forward to disecting this debate when it's done and giving my analysis and point totals ...
When they are finished, A poll will come and there will be a 24 hour period to vote as well as give your overall analysis of both of them as well as a point total.
