The Indians just swept the A's and their starters allowed only 1 run 44 1/3 innings.

Billy Wagner is wearing out his welcome. It sounds like the Mets clubhouse is a mess right now and I heard on Mike and Mike this morning that Willie may be out of a job in the next week or so.

you are so wrong if the Mets are smart about Wagner...this is exactly what they need...someone to actually speak up about his bitchy teammates that are whiny crybabies that cant hit. he had every right to look around and see that none of his teammates involved in them getting shut out by the Nationals had conveniently run out of the lockerroom before media time and the only person left was Wagner, who didnt even pitch yesterday.

maybe this is a kick in the ass they need

This is awesome. I have always loved it when athletes show passion. I love the sport of baseball and the business and political side has always been frustrating, but common Wagner is right. It doesn't matter what sport your playing you should he held accountable for your actions and that is all that Wagner was doing. If the Mets don't want him anymore then I can think of at least 29 other teams that would love to have a closer like him on their team.

Yeah Wagner's right.

Jose Reyes made a STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID play in that game that cost them the tying run.

Then Delgado does the single worst possible thing he could have done in the bottom of the 9th at the plate with a runner on third with ONE OUT in a 1-0 game, again costing them the tying run. A pop up, strikeout, or ground ball anywhere would have literally been better than that AB.

Stay in the clubhouse and take it from the reporters, don't leave it to your teammates to try and explain what YOU did to hand Mike Pelfrey a loss in one of the best games he's played in his young career.

Man up Delgado, you're horrible.

En fuego!!

I'd be more excited- but I know he's going to follow this week up with a 1-fer-25 stretch or something.

Perhaps if the Mets had more people WHO SPEAK ENGLISH this wouldn't be such an issue. LoDuca had the same problem last year. The Mets should either hire a translator or an English tutor for the media. If you are a professional baseball player you should be available for interviews.

I think it is all a plot for Minaya to move the Mets to Puerto Rico in 2011.

Joakim Soria gave up a 2 run homer to Jeremy Hermida tonight. He finally gave up his 1st run of the season.

It gets better for Webb, 6 innings of 2 hit ball (0 ER and 7 Ks) and D-Backs scored 4 runs in 5th to extend the lead to 5-0. Stephen Drew is also 4-4 and HR away from hitting for cycle...

Without a doubt he is the best pitcher in the NL, if not the MLB. The man has a chance for 23-25 wins.

That's 5 wins in a row now for the Reds. They are starting to heat up.

The Royals signed Joakim Soria to a 3 year contract with options for 2012, '13 and '14. They have not said for how much.
