I've been keeping up with it even if your "partner site" isn't mr zgreenz1 - very well done, Koby. Too bad that you are giving teams like the Buccs the benefit of the doubt though, I still think they will fuck up yet another high pick.

LOL :)

It's debatable whether teams like the Pirates, Giants, Astros, Rangers spend or not. I think the Pirates will, sort of. Smoak isn't the best player available for them under any circumstance but he'll be cheaper than the BPAs (Hosmer, Alvarez, Crow, Matusz) & isn't a bad option.

I actually have the Astros going rich in the draft with Gerrit Cole. That's pretty risky on my part as I think it's more likely they take Tim Melville or Aaron Hicks due to bonus demands.

Timmy Beckham to Tampa with No 1, what happens to Reid Brignac now?

Oh and Pedro Alvarez is available at 2, which I beleive he will be considering Tampa doesnt need a 3B - they will pass on him... So like you said Alvarez could end up going at 4 to O's. They gave big bucks to Wieters last year so they will do it to Alvarez.

Koby, with 2 catchers projected to go in top 10 or top 15, do you see Tampa taking either Skipworth or Posey with No 1? Any chance at all of that happening? They are pretty much set everywhere.
OF (Crawford, Upton, Baldelli, Jennings)
IF (Pena, Longoria - long term option with Bartlett and Iwamura short term options assuming Brignac doesnt pan out)
Pitching - Price, McGee, Kazmir, Davis and Shields with Morlan, Niemann in pen - dont think they will take a pitcher with their 1st selection.

C appears to be their weakness and maybe just maybe they'll take a catcher with their 1st pick. I know its a reach but it would definitely be tempting...

Why? His bat or his defence? If its his defence maybe a move to 2B could be in order?

Bat, mostly, but I'm skeptical of his defense as well.

I don't think Tampa will give much consideration to Skipworth because he's such a work in progress defensively & stands a very reasonable chance of changing positions. Posey will get consideration but he is not the impact player that Alvarez, Beckham or Matusz are. I agree he makes the most sense & if these guys were succeeding in Double-A the Rays would absolutely pass on better talent for a solid catcher who will hit for average, play solid d & have a bit (10-15 HR) pop. But Posey just isn't the impact guy so I really think the Rays would be smart to pass on him despite how solid he is. Posey will be a big leaguer in my mind, no doubt but he'll be a solid-regular while Beckham or Matusz or Alvarez COULD be All-Stars. Posey doesn't have that kind of ceiling.

Koby you must be pretty fired up about Brewers' chances in this year's draft. After only 1 pick (7 overall) in first 100 picks last year, you guys get 6 this year in 1st 2 rounds...

Beyond their own picks at No. 16 and No. 62 in the first two rounds, the Brewers have supplemental picks at No. 32 (Cordero) and No. 35 (Linebrink) after the first round, and selections No. 53 (Cordero) and No. 54 (Linebrink) in the second.

I'm really geared up. Here's hoping Jack Z. branches out & takes a college pitcher instead of a high school flame thrower. Josh Fields would be really nice.
