He's pitching out of his mind right now. I know he'll eventually slow this pace, but will he go back to his 5.00 ERA, return to his form of a few years back as being a servicable starter, or can he be a top pitcher? I am starting to get offers for him, but I don't want to trade him if he is going to be a good starter.

Wow,,,He sure is an enigma of sorts this season, isn't he?

I think its a tough call. Obviously he will cool off at some point so I think it depends on what you are being offered for him.

In previous seasons he has found reasonable success but has never had any dominant seasons to date. However, many people will tell you that at his age (29), coupled with what seems to be a renewed hunger for success, that he could easily be poised for a big season.

Nonetheless, I would ultimately try to deal him and see what I could get for him. A young rookie with great potential, fulfilling bigger roster needs, or swapping for someone with a better track record would likely make me deal him. Otherwise, if you are being bombarded with low end offers, I would stick with him. keep in mind, every season a new handful of pitchers crawl out of the woodwork and throw up good numbers.

Lee is less than stellar for roto leagues but in H2H and points leagues his value is obviously much higher. Good Luck- its a tough decision indeed.

Why is Lee so much more valuable in H2H over Roto? I dont get it.

Knew,

What I was referring to is that in the past, he has never had very good ERA, WHIP, or K totals,,,(Categories that are often the foundation for a quality pitcher in roto leagues).

However, in most H2H leagues, 6 innings of 3 run ball, with a few walks and 6 or 7 hits given up will often get you a respectable number of points,,,

Point being- I think his value is higher in H2H leagues compared to Roto (5x5, 6x6, etc.). So, if you are entertaining offers for him, I think you would likely get more for him in a H2H league than a Roto league,,,

Oh okay. Ive never played H2H and I always hear people say "so and so is better for H2H than roto" and I never understood why..
