I'm interested in seeing how Josh Smith is going to deliver on his message that the Hawks will "shock the world". Shock them with poor shooting? Shock them with the fact that a team 8 games below .500 even made the playoffs? _________________

I guess he claimed to have a case of food poisoning before the game started.
At least he didn't shock them by vomiting all over the court! _________________

Maybe he meant the other scrub team in the playoffs .. the 76'ers .. Which in fact was an amazing victory in Detriot!

| Just another lazy 27-5-14 for Quik's boy CP half way thru 4th quarter. Nowitzki is getting NO help whatsoever...

I never liked that trade for Kidd .... Kidd is not what they needed .. they needed a point who can not only distribute but sit back and hit the open J while its dished out from disco dirk or Howard .... Kidd is the polar opposite.. His jump shot is something out of a horror flick ... so what the hell does he do with the ball when dirks double teamed and dishes it back out?
Nahh ... not a good fit.

35-3-10 in a 12 point victory
32-5-17 in a 24 point victory
You can't teach that! _________________

Dirk needs scoring help out there -- I'm still leary going into Dallas. The Mavs are a good home team. Still, they'll be swept if they play the way they have in the series so far. J-Kidd is looking more and more like a bad deal, or more specifically just a bad fit for this team as Biz pointed out. _________________

| Spurs head to Phoenix up 2-0. Phoenix started the game on a 26-12 run but eventually 3rd period killed them (11 points)... Eh doesnt look good for Steve Kerr.

We didn't have the game on here at work, but you gotta wonder if the Suns would be as competitive as they are against the Spurs without Shaq. Just looking at the boxscore, I get the feeling there were a lot of fast break points scored by SA because they didn't hit many threes and still shot a really high percentage from the field. I wouldn't think that would be a result of slashing to the basket if Shaq and Amare were set on defense. _________________

Kobe was absolutely sick yesterday. As soon as the Nuggets cut it down to like 94-89, kobe and vujajic went off. _________________

Detroit got slapped by Philly today and they are down 2-1. Game 4 is a must win for them otherwise Celtics are pretty much guaranteed a trip to NBA Final...
Cavs looked awful yesterday. Orlando good pose a threat for C's. Toronto and Cleveland arent much...

| Tough night for CP (4-18 shooting), still had 16 and 10 though, Pargo chipped in with 30 lol. Dirk was money tonight, 32, 19 and 6 on 11-20 shooting. Mavs won game 3 by 10.

Yeah dude, fully expected them to rebound in Dallas -- Paul/West were 10-fer-38. I don't care the other factors, when those 2 are that ice cold it's game-set-match. They are both prone to cold games, and they usually come in pairs. _________________
